The Hure Coffee Table design and inspiration was derived from the of the old cast iron bases made from the late 1800s to the 1940s found on industrial machinery. A French manufacturer of machinery named P. Hure built many different lathes and milling machines that stood on bases like the Hure tables. The original bases are rare and very hard to find – especially in America – so Vintage Industrial built their own bases as a tribute to Hure’s designs.
Entirely handcrafted, the Hure tables are rich in character and elegance with massive yet curvy lines. The base is built with 6mm thick steel in the heaviest gauge we’ve used to date. The large connecting screw has a 50m diameter with a 75mm nut that holds the two bases together.

Environmentally responsibility is key to the ethos of the team behind the brand and all metal scraps are reused/repurposed and for each tree cut down and used two new trees are replanted.
